The Terminal Kadıköy project, designed by the acclaimed firm Tabanlıoğlu Architects, represents a sophisticated transformation of the Söğütlüçeşme transport hub into a multi-layered urban lifestyle center. Completed in 2025, the architectural intervention revitalizes the previously underutilized space beneath the massive railway viaducts, effectively integrating high-speed rail, Marmaray, and Metrobus lines with a rich program of cultural and social facilities. The design emphasizes a seamless dialogue between heavy infrastructure and the public realm, featuring contemporary materials and aesthetic contributions from Autoban that accommodate art spaces, gastronomy centers, and open-air social zones. By reimagining a traditional transit node as a dynamic community destination, Terminal Kadıköy stands as a significant example of modern adaptive design, enhancing the urban fabric and providing a new architectural landmark in the heart of Kadıköy.
